The HZA is not dead; Depeche Mode edition

I have been a bit under the weather. And thus gotten behind in my music posting. School started back up and now I am totally sick. I am putting off my homework and I can't pay attention to my Af Am reading.

So, I give you Depeche Mode. I have a deep, deep love for Depeche Mode. I think they are the one band I am truly in love with. Dave Gahan is a fox. And I would do a thousand horrible things if it meant I could see them perform live. It was a tough call making a list of ten tracks. So I may put more up later on. But for now, for now, this is excellent.

Suffer Well Hopeful, even in pain.

Dream Most everyone has heard this song before. It's wonderfully smoky and sexy.

Personal Jesus "feeling unknown/and you're all alone/flesh and bone/by the telephone/lift up the receiver/I'll make you a believer" I will absolve you.

The World in My Eyes Aren't you going to show me?

Enjoy the Silence One of my favorite videos on YouTube is DM performing this for a huge crowd in Spain, I think, and everyone is just drowning out Dave's singing.

Leave in Silence Classic DM.

Blasphemous Rumors Yes, god does have a sick sense of humor.

John the RevelatorTheir take on a gospel song. Much better.

A Pain That I Am Used To One of my very, very favorites.

Lilian Perhaps it's good I am a Heather and not a Lilian.

Late Night; She Wants Revenge

I adore She Wants Revenge. I am enamored. I think they are a wonderfully sexy duo who's music can make any dame feel vampish. But I think fellas can dig them as well.

The lyrics are racy, and the music itself it's artistic synth that is flat but still emotive. Plus the cover of their self titled debut is smokin'.

The back cover is nifty too. Except the fact the John Tucker Must Die poster rips it off.

What is crazy is the bad got Joaquin Phoenix to direct their first video for the song, Tear You Apart.

And their second video for These Things features the ever foxy Shirley Manson as a dominatrix;

I will admit I would rather listen to the band than look at them. But whatever. They have a new album due in October. With another equally hot cover art model.

Here are two picks of their debut;

I Don't Wanna Fall In Love
Black Liner Run

The Newest of Wu Tang Clan.

A return to good form. I am a bit late on the posting of this. But enjoy it.

Watch Your Mouth by the Wu Tang Clan.

Three Picks off Kanye's Graduation

I have posted Stronger before. Which is really fucking good. And I have picked three other songs off Graduation that aren't the singles. {which rules out; Can't Tell Me Nothing, The Good Life and Stronger}.

Drunk and Hot Girls featuring Mos Def Seriously, Mos Def is great, always.

Flash Lights featuring Dwele I read in some article what song is being sampled here. But I forgot. But my point is this song is fucking great.

Homecoming featuring Chris Martin I originally cringed at the thought of Chris Martin, of Coldplay, collabing with Kanye. But it work. For reals.

The Mad Beats, Yo Edition.

I listen to this track often. Which says a lot because it's 50 minutes long. This song has snipets of 800 hip hop tracks. It amazed me how many I could name and how many I was familiar with, even without knowing artists or name.

But I like it because it's why I love hip hop. The crazy beats and the rhymes.

So I give you 1979-2006; A Hip Hop Odyssey by Jaguar Skills

It will take a while to download, but it's so worth it.

A Best of Britney of Sorts.

You know, of all the songs I have posted, that Britney track was downloaded the most. I have no idea who.

So because of her pure and sugary delight, I bring you more Britney. Maybe she will untrainwreck herself and reclaim her crown. And I don't care what you say, I love her in all her overproduced, lip syncing glory. I really do.

I am even posting some mashups and a megamix as well.

So forget her fuckery of now and just remember her like this;

I'm A Slave For You
Chaotic
Stronger
Toxic
Outrageous
Crazy
Me Against the Music (Justice Remix)
A Britney Megamix by Chris Cox
Toxic Starlight. A mashup by Bobby Martini
Britney's Massive Black Hole A mashup of Do Something by Britney with Muse's Super Massive Black Hole mixed by Divide and Kreate.

And here is her newest track if you missed it;

Gimme More
